Precautions for the use of wire testing machine:

The voltage level of the regular megohmmeter should be higher than the insulation voltage level of the measured object. Therefore, when measuring the insulation resistance of equipment or lines with a rated voltage below 500V, a 500V or 1000V megohmmeter can be used; when measuring the insulation resistance of equipment or lines with a rated voltage above 500V, a 1000~2500V megohmmeter should be used; For insulators, 2500~5000V megohmmeter should be used. Under normal circumstances, a megger with a range of 0~200MΩ can be used to measure the insulation resistance of low-voltage electrical equipment.

1. It is forbidden to measure the insulation resistance during lightning or near high-voltage equipment, only when the equipment is not live. It is also measured under the condition of no induced electricity.

2. In the process of telemetry. No one can work on the device under test.

3. The megohmmeter wires cannot be twisted together. To be separated.

4. Before the megger stops rotating or before the device under test is discharged. Do not touch with your hands. When removing the wire, do not touch the metal part of the lead.

5. At the end of the measurement. For large-capacitance equipment, discharge.

6. The measurement cord from the megohmmeter terminal should be well insulated, and a proper distance should be maintained between the two wires and between the wire and the ground, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy.

7. In order to avoid the leakage resistance of the device under test, when using a megohmmeter. The middle layer of the device under test should be connected to the maintenance ring.

8. Check its accuracy regularly.
